How it started
After a career in investment banking & private equity, Kevin Delvas, CEO of Synetiq, realized the gap in automation and software tooling in these fields relative to other industries, as well as other areas of finance, despite a clear need to streamline processes and leverage data & information efficiently.
He then met Olivier Jolit, CTO of Synetiq, a senior developer who worked for more than a decade on software solutions for Trading and Asset Management firms.
Synetiq
Together they founded Synetiq in 2023, with the objective of digitalising the day-to-day of private equity and investment banking professionals. Synetiq’s focus is to both save time & resources and help generate new deal opportunities with an order of magnitude of efficiency improvement.
Kevin Delvas, CEO
After starting his career in Sales & Trading and using multiple software solutions to perform his daily tasks, Kevin then switched to the Private side of Finance. He worked in Investment Banking in London for 5 years, at JP Morgan, the #1 Investment Bank globally, and then went on to pursue his career in Private Equity at Ardian, #1 Private Equity Fund by AUM in Europe.
This allowed him to realise the gap in digitalisation solutions between Sales & Trading, and the Private side of Finance.
After many years in these fields, he identified several clear technology needs, shared by many people in the industry, that could be addressed by an all-in-one vertical software platform. He decided to start Synetiq to fill that gap between that existing demand and the relative lack of offer on the market.
Olivier Jolit, CTO
After graduating from CentraleSupélec and a MSc at Imperial College London in 2010, Olivier joined the R&D team of ActiveViam for 7 years. There he wrote core parts of the database handling very large volumes of data for corporate and investment banks, hedge funds, assets managers and exchanges around the world. Olivier worked both on performance intensive problems and tailored web user interface solutions.
He saw first-hand the benefits of having fast insights into the data when everything is integrated. Which resonated when Kevin explained the lack of similar solutions in the Private side of finance.
With more than 10 years writing software and helping multiple large financial institutions solve their problems with it, he is ready to help private finance actors accelerate now.
